About Us
Dr Herm Anderson started a mixed animal practice in 1964 located at 731 Wilcox St where the current Berkenkotter Motors is located. In the 80's Dr Anderson switched to doing small animals only. After several years of doing relief work for Dr Anderson. Dr Melanie bought the practice when Dr Anderson decided to retire in May 2001. Dr Melanie named the practice Cherished Companions and moved to our current location in 2004.
Dr Steven Cribley started a mixed animal practice in 1977 named Castle Rock Veterinary Clinic located at 800 Kinner St. Dr Cribley decided to focus on large animals only and in August 2009, sold the small animal portion of the practice to Cherished Companions.
Cherished Companions has sought to build upon the great background of these 2 small town clinics and the special relationships between the doctors and their clients. As the Town of Castle Rock has grown so has our desire to provide you with the opportunity to benefit from all of the great advances in Veterinary Medical Care. It is our hope to to know each of you and your individual companions as closely as Dr Anderson and Dr Cribley did while giving you the opportunity to learn about all the available methods for improving the health and longevity of your pets.
